A little about me…
I’m Lizzie Watt, a British Floral Designer (now living in NC, USA) that is truly passionate about all things floral.
I began my floral journey with several years of training under the guidance of master florists at the British Academy of Floral Art. Inspired by these incredibly creative and talented folk - I too am now taking my studies to the final stage, to become a Master Florist.
I’ve spent my floral years working on all sorts of events, including with many, many brides creating beautiful designs for their special day. From small intimate weddings just for two, to weddings where the sky’s the limit. Who doesn’t love a good wedding - whatever the size!
I’ve also worked on all kinds of exciting and different floral projects - from majestic swan table centrepieces for a shop launch to exhibition and art gallery installations, retail windows, national floral shows as well as displays in stately homes. (I’ve even helped create a giant floral crown in celebration of Britain’s new King!)
I often get asked why ‘Wild and Green’ ? Well my natural style has always been a little on the wild side - working with natures incredible textures, forms and scents. I guess I would describe my style as ‘gardenesque’ - taking inspiration from England’s beautiful gardens. And as a true lover of nature, gardens and our living world, I try to use sustainable (‘green’) materials and mechanics wherever I can.
I’d love to work with you on your event or perhaps you’d like to come along to one of my fun workshops and enjoy the magic of flowers for yourself. Get in touch!
